Coty appoints Sophie Hanrot as Chief Human Resources Officer

Sophie will serve as a member of the Coty Executive Committee and report to Coty’s CEO Pierre Laubies. Sophie succeeds Sébastien Froidefond who will be leaving Coty for personal reasons.
Laubies said, “Over the past three years as SVP of HR for our Luxury Division, Sophie has proven herself to be a strong leader, adept at successfully driving major business and cultural transformation while minimizing business disruption. Under her leadership, the HR teams have significantly contributed to the P&L of Coty Luxury by implementing a lean organization, building high talent teams as well as promoting a culture of performance within the division. I am very pleased to be able to promote Sophie from within Coty, and I am confident that her skills and leadership approach will allow her to successfully drive the people agenda in the next phase of our transformation.
We thank Sébastien for his significant contributions to Coty’s transformation over the past four years. He led our people agenda during the critical merger and integration period, delivered strong results and built a talented HR team, including succession planning, thereby ensuring continuity during this transition period. Sophie has 20 years of human resources strategic leadership, including talent management, organizational transformation and culture development, with extensive experience in the Beauty industry. Since 2016, Sophie has been SVP, HR of Coty’s Luxury Division. Prior to that Sophie was Global Head of Talent Management at Louis Vuitton, with previous experience at L’Oréal as well as running her own HR consultancy business. Sophie started her career in retail and marketing before choosing to enter the HR world by joining the global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates and then Heidrick & Struggles Inc.
